Les Bois Milling

About Us

Our Valley’s trees are amazing. Our climate, weather patterns, seasons and fertile soil grow some pretty spectacular trees. As much as we all wish they could live forever, everything has a life cycle. Old age, storm damage, disease, insects and urban development are just a few reasons a tree may have to be removed. Les Bois Milling is going to work closely with community forestry programs, tree care professionals and the general public to keep these trees from ending their life at the landfill. Unlike most things, a properly harvested, cut and dried tree can live on in another form. We’re going to use our relationships, tools and knowledge to give these special trees a second life by providing the highest quality and most environmentally friendly wood possible for local craftsman and makers.

Les Bois Milling uses an inventory control App called AncesTREE. This will allow our customers to know everything about the wood they purchase. As a craftsman I can tell you your customers will appreciate the story of their build. Where that tree lived, how old it was, species information, moisture content and much more will be tracked and become part of your projects story. In some cases a tree removed from a property will be milled, dried, crafted and returned to that same property in a different form as a bespoke piece that can be passed down a family tree for generations.

Les Bois Milling aims to be the hub where quality lumber meets talented craftsman and eventually a satisfied customer. We are here to facilitate getting our local wood back into the homes and businesses of the City of Trees. If you’re a craftsman, tree care specialist, arborist or just want something special in your home or business come talk to us. We’ll do everything we can to make it happen. We care.
